Rhett's Guestbook

 Home

Being an equal-opportunity kind of Southern gal, Rhett thought it only fair to allow a visitor to her website to post a comment. Here's your chance. Write a few lines to let her know you stopped by and rested for a spell. Is there something you would like included in the site? Tell us and we'll do our level best to accommodate.

Since we can't offer up a sip of sweet iced tea with fresh mint, and we've yet to find a way to download a shady front porch with a waiting rocking chair, a chance to talk back to the author is the best we can do.

At first, this was an open sign-in guestbook. Ah, but there were those of a not-so-high nature out there who used it to promote their sleazy websites! How to find a way to open for comments without the scum rising to the top...hmm...

Ah yes! How about emailing us and we'll paste your comments here? That'll work!

Send your comments to trugrits@embarqmail.com.

Thank you!

Howdy do, hatts! What do you mean no tea, shady porch, or chair... ::plops down on the shady porch in a comfy rocking chair and guzzles some minty tea, then eats the straw:: That hit the spot! Tis a fine looking place you've created. I'm convinced we have unused brain cells specifically so we can afford to burn some out on truly creative endeavors--like carving out niches of peace in a tumultuous world. Well done, I say. I also want to say I like your vision statement and dream. I think there are a lot of folks out there who want to have such a vision but don't think they can make a difference. You are showing us that, while we may not be able to do everything without aid, the choice to embark upon a dream is something we have to make all by our lonesome. But once we do, we will suddenly find ourselves surrounded by people who made the same leap, and the aid and support we need will be drawn to us. In that vein, here's a few things my wise tea has told me that I thought you might appreciate: You must be the change you wish to see in the world. --Gandhi The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. --Eleanor Roosevelt It is not the mountain we must conquer, but ourselves. --Sir Edmund Hillary Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the people doing it. --Chinese Proverb Maintain the dream. It is a bastion against the deep darkness of nothing! Gala

Hi, Rhett! Nice website! Knew you had it in you!

Well, I'll be dog-goned! You went and learned how to do the computer thing. Atta girl! Site looks pretty good. Know you'll be tweaking it a bit here and there. Here, here! Keep the faith!

Hey girl, its Bo. I know you grew a piece of side brain just doing this site. You did a wonderful job and I will call you when it comes time to start my web site. Couple of suggestions, if you don't mind, as you know I will anyway. One, put some of the southern sayings somewhere that you and I always know and use i.e. "He was runnin' like hell after the yearlin'" then have a translation of them. Some of them Yankees might get a kick out of it. Also put some of your Mama's stuff on the site. Sort of like Mama-isms:Insight from Mama. or something of the sort. The stuff you share with me about your Mama is priceless and worth sharing with everyone. Finally, keep it light. Only time to get serious is over lunch at Hopkins :) Love ya girl right down to the bottom of my heart Bo

Hello Rhett, Read you put this up (in Storycrafters). Nice Job! I'll be sure to have a good look around. Green

We Love Rhett!! Miss you! Keep up the good work, great website! Your #1 FANS in YANKEE Land! Stef and Scott

Hello Mizz Rhett-- I've really enjoyed your books -- they've brought back some wonderful memories of the Tallahassee/Chattahoochee area for me. While I'm still too far away to see you regularly and, more importantly, attend your book signings -- I'm glad you figured out this on-line stuff so your further-north southern friends can keep a look-see on you and your life updates. Always knew you had it in you to turn your ramblings into something for the rest of the world to share and enjoy! Wish more had your positive outlook and wonderful sense of humor. Congrats! Barb B.

Hi Rhett, I saw your comment in storycrafters and came to have a look see. I can't believe I have actually heard of cathead biscuits before, too cool! Nice site, so pleasant here. I hope you'll stop by and visit mine and leave me a comment. I may even have something you need, who knows.....www.geocitoes.com/tale2bestseller I'll pop in from time to time just to say hey.

Cool site Mad---Geezer

Can't wait for the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first two were ones that I couldn't put down. Thanks for the memories! Love ya...........jackie and brenda

"Here kitty kitty" Guess who. Sun sets, trained cats, sail boats and dolphins-does that jar any memories? I read that you would like to get with other authors etc. Well! I'm no author (spelling and puncuation too lousy) but how about an old illustrator/artist and photographer? I'm pretty darn good if I do say so myself. Take care and will add more on your other site. Here kitty kitty Max

Hi Rhett! You have a beautiful website. I just had to come and look at it! Your books look great too! Keep up the work! One day you will be on Oprah! Judy (Storytellers)

Greetings noble southern friend! Mad, your site is great! You did a truly perfeshonal job! Curls up in a rocking chair and sips her tea, tosses a mango to Gala. "Here, this should help the straw 'go down'." You know, your porch is getting pretty crowded. Looks like this may turn into a garden party. I am going to tell my sisters and my mom about your novels (don't bonk me for not telling them sooner) I think they will love your storylines!! Oh, oh, oh ... I added your site as a link on my site. Whenever HE (nods to Gala) finishes his, I'll add his too. As a former Texan, I love the Southern feel ... really makes me want to go out back and have a barbecue and sip sun tea !! ~ forest elf ~
